What happens in the body when you eat too quickly?
Eating fast isn't good for you. It's true that sometimes we're pressed for time, and that can be a lot more dangerous than we realize...
Nutritionists say we should dedicate at least 30 minutes to each meal. If we don't have that time, it's better to just be hungry. But the worst part is when we get used to eating quickly because our bodies don't have time to properly digest the food and absorb the nutrients.

The key is to chew our food really well in our mouths with our saliva, so we should chew each bite at least 30 times. That means in less than half an hour, we can't eat enough food, let alone get enough nutrients. The faster we eat, the bigger bites we take, and the more junk we consume!

Most of the problems from eating too quickly occur in the stomach, because it has to produce more stomach acid, along with more processes that interfere with each other, hindering and reducing efficiency. This leads to increased acid use in the stomach and the esophagus.

And don't forget... It's not just about chewing slowly and thoroughly, but the stomach also needs time to break down the food."
